the-fanny asked: hey there. I love many of the pictures that you post here. They make me pretty homesick. I was born and raised in Georgetown and since we georgetonians are dwellers of the intercoastal I was wondering if I could submit the occasional picture for your blog. I know it isn't charleston but despite the sad sights and smells of the paper and steel mills, georgetown has a lot of history and beauty....

At the oyster roast I went to tonight, the wind blew a paper cup out of someone’s hand. After he bent down to pick it up again, an old guy who I did not know walked by and patted him on the back, and said, “Hash tag wind, huh?”

Apparently I have a neurological condition called synesthesia. Specifically, I have the variety known as grapheme–color synesthesia. I got chills when I read about it just now; I never knew there was anything unusual about seeing letters and numbers this way at all.
