Spent another day downtown today, tried taking photographs again, but it was one of the gloomiest days I can remember so far this year, so the lighting will be horrible. Not sure if I’ll end up posting any of them here or not (they’ll be on Flickr though). I’m thankful that the weather is getting warm again, but can it be summer temperatures and bright, blue summer skies again, please?
On the bright side, I’m almost, almost done writing my book!
Rocking Chair
Death Cab For Cutie
“We’re gonna soothe away the rest of our years, we’re gonna put away all of our tears. That big rocking chair won’t go nowhere.”
Today in 1801, Thomas Jefferson was elected President.
“We are not living in a world where all roads are radii of a circle and where all, if followed long enough, will therefore draw gradually nearer and finally meet at the centre: rather in a world where every road, after a few miles, forks in two, and each of those into two again, and at each road you must make a decision. Even on a biological level life is not like a river but like a tree. It does not move towards unity but away from it and the creatures grow further apart as they increase in perfection. Good, as it ripens, becomes continually more different not only from evil but also from other good.”
