This historical pamphlet was compiled and first published in 1958 by the Post and Courier (then the News and Courier), and details a sampling of the local Charleston dialect of the time. Much of it seems to be humorous rather than linguistic in nature, which makes me wonder how accurate it actually is. You can also download it in pdfe-pub, or Kindle format.
